According to SWR, the new format “Zur Sache: Zwei Seiten” should offer more space for political discourse in the TV program. It is designed as a column in the magazine show “Zur Sache Rheinland-Pfalz”, which airs on SWR RP on Thursdays at 8:15 p.m. The monthly format is available on YouTube without a regular publication date, but always in advance.
Topic of the first episode: Are cars still up to date?
The “Zur Sache Rheinland-Pfalz” editors Luisa Szabo and Enno Osburg visit two protagonists with contrary views. The new format is about letting “real people and no association spokespersons” have their say. In the comment columns of the 15-minute YouTube videos, users can also exchange opinions themselves. In this way, other perspectives should expand the pure content of the format – in a civilized form and moderated by SWR, of course.
