After a quad accident: his wife Julia accompanies him on the red carpet

Surprise appearance at the Salzburg Festival: Tobias Moretti beamed with his wife Julia on the red carpet. It was not until June that the 51-year-old suffered serious injuries in a traumatic accident.
Tobias Moretti, 63, can breathe easy! His wife Julia was obviously very lucky and seems to have survived her serious accident with a quad in the meantime. The pair have now appeared together at the Salzburg Festival, just weeks after the worrying 100-foot fall that resulted in two spinal surgeries for the 51-year-old. According to “Bild”, the oboist also appeared with crutches for the first red carpet appearance after the worrying accident.
Tobias Moretti: “She’s fine, she’s alive”
Tobias Moretti was relieved and confident in an interview with ORF: “She feels good, she’s alive. She’s not paralyzed, she can do anything – and she’ll be her old self again. And of course that’s great.” In short things looked different after the accident.At the time, the family said in a statement to the Austrian press agency APA: “We celebrate every day like a birthday, because it was really close.”
Fit for the red carpet, but not yet for the stage
The horror accident happened on the couple’s farm in the Tyrolean town of Ranggen. According to a press release from the Tyrolean police, it is said to have happened on June 16, 2022. According to the authorities, the vehicle went off the road “for reasons that are not yet known”. It buried the mother of three children. Tobias Moretti is said to have found his wife himself, “was able to free her and set the rescue chain in motion.” Julia was then “flown to the clinic in Innsbruck with injuries of an undetermined degree”.
Now the musician seems to be slowly recovering. Actually, she should have given a chamber concert with her husband in the “House for Mozart” as part of the festival. But Julia apparently didn’t feel fit enough for that. Moretti shone on stage without her – but after all that time of worrying, they were at least allowed to shine together again on the red carpet.
