“Together” presidential majority wins 245 of 577 seats in Assembly, according to official results

PARIS (Reuters) – The camp of President Emmanuel Macron, “Ensemble” – an alliance made up of the Renaissance, MoDem, Horizons and Agir parties in particular – won 245 of the 577 seats in the National Assembly after the second round of legislative elections on Sunday, according to the official results published Monday by the Ministry of the Interior.

The left-wing alliance, the New Popular, Ecological and Social Union (Nupes), won 131 seats, ahead of the National Rally (89 seats) and Les Rpublicains (61 seats).
