March 7 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended sharply lower on Monday to its lowest level in 15 months, as Western sanctions against Russia and their impact on negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program drive up the prices of oil and other commodities.
The Nikkei lost 2.94% to 25,221.41 points and the broader Topix fell 2.76% to 1,794.06 points.
