June 1 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended higher on Wednesday, buoyed by gains in the auto sector after a positive report from JPMorgan on the outlook for major Japanese automakers.
The Nikkei index gained 0.65% to 27,457.89 points and the broader Topix gained 1.32% to 1,937.89 points.
