Tom Hanks: Despite the corona virus quarantine, he hasn't lost his sense of humor

US star Tom Hanks (63) apparently hasn't lost the humor, as his latest Instagram post from home quarantine proves. Because he has "good" and "bad news" for his followers.

The good news: "A week after the positive test and in isolation, the symptoms are largely the same. No fever, but frustration," writes Hanks. "Folding the laundry and doing the dishes leads to a nap on the couch," he describes his everyday life in Australia.

The bad news: "My wife won the rummy six times in a row and leads with 201 points," he says of the pastime with Rita Wilson (63), who is also in quarantine because of the virus infection. Hanks has also learned in the meantime not to apply his vegetarian spread so thickly.

The photo he packed shows the typewriter with which he traveled to Australia, "one that I used to love very much," he jokes, referring to the name "Corona Standard". The two-time Oscar winner closes his post with an appeal: "We are all in a tight spot. Let's make the curve flatter."

Hanks and Wilson were in Australia working on a new film. "We felt a little tired, like having a cold," he wrote on Instagram last week about the symptoms. His wife also had chills and a slight fever. They were then tested for the corona virus and the test was positive.
