Tom Holland in Euphoria with Zendaya: apparition or hallucination?

In episode 7 of season 2 of Euphoria, fans are convinced that Tom Holland made a small appearance. But has the interpreter of Spider-Man really joined Zendaya?

It’s no secret that Tom Holland was present on the set of season 2 of Euphoria to support Zendaya. Several photos and videos attest to this and some fans expected the interpreter of Spider-Man to make a cameo in the HBO series. The actor himself has several times expressed his desire to play in Euphoria, notably during an interview for IMDb :

“Listen, I’ve been asking for this for a long time and it hasn’t happened yet. I’m very disappointed. I’ve visited the crew on the set of Euphoria at least 30 times this season.”

This request made Zendaya laugh but also completely thrilled her: “I know. We should have tried to create a little easter egg and put you in the background. […] Let me talk to a few people! HBO, let’s talk on the phone.”

Since these declarations, the fans wondered if Tom Holland had not finally left to imply that it was perhaps already appearing furtively in season 2 of Euphoria, being diffused on HBO in the United States and on SCO in France.

Tom Holland or not Tom Holland?

And the release of episode 7 has revived speculation as fans believe they have seen the actor. In this grandiose chapter, the scene of the incredible play by Lexi (Maude Apatow), we see that Rue (Zendaya), Maddy (Alexa Demie), Jules (Hunter Schafer) and all the other high school students are there to support their friend and assist at his show.

A well-stocked audience for Lexi’s play in which Tom Holland might have slipped if we are to believe the photo posted on Twitter by a fan. A young man resembling the actor is visible in the background to the left of the audience. This shot very quickly unleashed passions on the social network and the fans got carried away… perhaps a little too much.

Indeed, this visual looks like a photo-montage since if we look closely at episode 7 of Euphoria, the people in the audience surrounding Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), who has gone to the bathroom here for a few minutes, and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are not the same in the fan photo as in the screenshot below from the episode.

Tom Holland has therefore, it seems, not yet made a cameo in Euphoria. But all hope is not lost since the actor could very well appear in season 3, already ordered, of the series. The cast is also downright ready for Spider-Man to become embedded among its members, as certain actresses declared during another interview for IMDb.

Sydney Sweeney feels they have “I really need Spider-Man to save the day because it’s shit at Highland High School”. For his part, Nika King, who plays Leslie, Rue’s mother, thinks he could intervene in a “fantasy sequence”as showrunner Sam Levinson knows how to do them so well.
