Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield have their own superhero group chat. They chat in a “Spider Boys” group.

Both Tom Holland (27), Tobey Maguire (47) and Andrew Garfield (39) have played the popular Marvel superhero Spider-Man for the past few decades. This obviously connects the three actors in a special way, because as Holland has now revealed, the Hollywood stars have their own chat group – and it’s called “Spider Boys”.

“Spider-Man” stars like brothers

The trio have “this incredible connection as three people who went through something so unique that we’re really like brothers,” says Holland in conversation with the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. And further: “We have a great group chat and we update each other from time to time.”

Holland recently asked his colleagues in the chat if they could sign a poster that was to be auctioned off at a charity event in London. They would have gladly accepted – “Spider-Man stuff”.

Holland may be the current Spider-Man, but Maguire and Garfield also starred in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. It was wonderful on the set of the film, Holland says. He also got the chance to talk to Garfield, from whom he practically took over the role. He had missed speaking to his colleague about it after becoming the new Peter Parker.

Holland was only 19 at the casting and still had a certain childish naivety. “I was so busy getting the part that I never took the time to think about what it must have been like for him,” says the actor. “I just wish I’d called him and said, ‘You know, I can’t turn down this opportunity.'”
