Musician Tom Mann experienced an indescribable stroke of fate in 2022: his fiancée died on the day of her wedding. Now the anniversary of her death has passed for the first time, man posts heartbreaking lines.
Musician Tom Mann, 29, who became known for his participation in the British edition of “X Factor”, reveled in family happiness with his fiancée Danielle “Dani” Hampson, † 34, and their then eight-month-old baby. Then fate struck relentlessly: before Tom Mann and his loved ones could walk down the aisle, Dani died unexpectedly. Her cause of death is not known.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words. My darling Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, June 18. What must have been the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak,” the singer wrote on Instagram. On the first anniversary of his fiancée’s death, the Brit shares heartbreaking words again.
Tom Mann: “Thank you for letting me love you”
On his Instagram account, the 29-year-old posts a black and white photo of his beloved Dani, on which she has her son on her lap. “1 year, somehow,” the singer begins his moving post and continues: “1 year ago I put on my suit, expecting to meet you at City Hall and give you my vows. I ended up having it worn in a hospital waiting room. 1 year ago my biggest concern was this unbearable heat. It was impossible to anticipate the unbearable pain that awaited me. A year ago I woke up next to you for the last time.”
He continues: “I had no answers as to how or why and no words to describe these feelings. Nothing makes sense and everything has changed. I don’t know why you couldn’t stay.” Additionally, Tom Mann adds that their son, Bowie, will learn all about his mother and how much joy she brought to people. Finally he addresses his Dani: “I am so grateful that someone as special as you chose me. Thank you for letting me love you.”
