Country star Tom T. Hall has died at the age of 85.

Called the “storyteller” of country music, Tom T. Hall has died at the age of 85.
American country musician Tom T. Hall (1936-2021) died on Friday at the age of 85 at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. This was confirmed by his son Dean the music magazine “Rolling Stone”.
The award-winning “storyteller”
Tom T. Hall has been known as the “storyteller” of country music because of his detailed narrative songs like “Harper Valley PTA” (1968), “I Love” (1973) or “That’s How I Got to Memphis” (1969). The Grammy Award winner (1973) wrote twelve number one hits. In 2008 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee, and in 2019 into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City.
Tom T. Hall leaves behind his son Dean. His wife (1964-2015), musician Iris Dixie Dean, died in 2015.
