After a break of several years, the SemperOpernball will return in 2024. Tom Wlaschiha and Stephanie Stumph will host the evening.

The first opera ball after the Corona-related break will be hosted by actor Tom Wlaschiha (50), who became internationally known for the hit series “Game of Thrones,” and his colleague Stephanie Stumph (39).

Not just a ball, a lifestyle

“The SemperOpernball is an integral part of the lifestyle of my hometown Dresden,” Stumph is quoted as saying in a press release. “It is a great honor for me to be able to lead through this traditional event as a presenter alongside Tom Wlaschiha and to help shape the ball’s restart after a four-year break.” According to the announcement, the comeback is a “revamped ball” that will be celebrated on February 23rd in and in front of the Semperoper Dresden.

And another star has already been announced. Giovanni Zarrella (45) will give the traditional midnight concert with his band. “The Semperoper in Dresden is a real music temple. Performing live here is something very special for every artist,” says the entertainer and presenter happily. For him, “it’s such a historic house […] “a real feel-good place”.
