Tomb Raider Reloaded: Lara Croft returns in a new game for Valentine’s Day, but on mobiles

With all the brouhaha around the license tomb Raiderwe almost forgot that a mobile game was in the works: Tomb Raider Reloaded. The latter had been announced in 2020 when the license was still under the fold of Square Enix, but despite the sale to Embrace Group, the project seems to have continued its development without ever giving us too much news. Until today, when it reappears with a very close release date and a little more explanation on its altogether unique concept for the series.

Tomb looting continues on mobiles

Tomb Raider Reloaded will allow us to find Lara Croft (who will be voiced by Keeley Hawes, who has already played the heroine in several games in the past) in a new adventure presented to us as a roguelite.

In other words, we will find courses, obstacles and traps that constantly change, and where we must unlock new weapons and abilities (which will also change) as we progress. The puzzles will of course be at the heart of the game, as will the action, with automated shooting to make mobile controls easier.

This new way of thinking about licensing tomb Raider will be available from February 14 on iOS and Android mobile platforms, but also on Netflixin an ad-free version for subscribers.
