Tomorrow belongs to us (spoilers): Is Vanessa really Mercier’s copycat?

On May 23 in Tomorrow belongs to us (TF1, 7:10 p.m.), Sara and Roxane ask Nordine to be their donor, Mathilde leaves Sète and George investigates Vanessa…

In the episode of tomorrow belongs to us from Monday, May 23, 2022, Sara (Camille Genau) and Roxane (Raphaële Volkoff) have reviewed all the lists of sperm donors but cannot find what they are looking for. They would like the father of their child to be close to them, without getting involved in his education. For Sara, the perfect choice would be Bart (Hector Langevin), but the timing is very bad. Finally, the two young women agree to ask Nordine. At lunchtime, the young policeman joins them at the Spoon. Without waiting, Sara and Roxane ask him to be the father of their baby. Nordine falls from the clouds. Very surprised, he only knows how to answer them and slips away, promising to give them an answer quickly. Back at the police station, Nordine asks her father for advice. Martin (Franck Monsigny) reminds him that for him, not having a connection with his father was difficult. It is not sure that Nordine is the right person to take on the role of progenitor… In the evening, Nordine goes to see Sophie (Carole Bianic) at the Perraud-Novak office and talks to her about Sara and Roxane’s request. To his great surprise, the lawyer turns against him and asks him to leave.

For her part, Manon (Louvia Bachelier) begins her observation internship at the police station. Very attentive, she observes Damien (Adrien Rob) recovering metadata from a mobile phone. Very enthusiastic, Manon brings Dorian (Rayane Huber) into the police station to show him everything she learns there, but the teenager involuntarily spills a bottle of luminol on a piece of evidence. On learning this, Aurore (Julie Debazac) gets angry and asks Damien to punish his daughter. Although she agrees that Manon should never have brought her cousin into the police station, the young policeman stresses that he shouldn’t have left his work plan in a mess. To Aurore’s great displeasure, Damien simply asks Manon and Dorian to clean everything up.

In the grip of doubt, George investigates Vanessa

This is the big departure for Mathilde (Maria Bernal), who has decided to go and live in Greece with her father and her brother. The separation is difficult for Bart, but he knows that Louise (Alexandra Naoum) would be reassured to know his daughter with Aurélien (Christophe Bedes). He makes them promise to take care of each other. A little later, Anna (Maud Baecker) and Karim (Samy Gharbi) come to visit Bart. They learned about Mathilde’s departure and don’t want Bart to be left alone. Touched, the young man takes his mother in his arms and agrees to have a drink with them.

George (Mayel Elhajaou) hasn’t slept all night. He found suspicious letters signed Alice Reynie and suspects Vanessa (Victoire Dauxerre) to be Mercier’s copycat. Very worried, he decides to go see Victoire (Solène Hébert) at the hospital to talk to her about it. At the police station, Nordine (Youcef Agal) continues to go through Loïc Mercier’s correspondence, without result. He wonders if Tristan (Mathieu Alexandre) might be the culprit after all, but Martin (Franck Monsigny) doesn’t believe it. He is convinced that someone tried to trap the chef, and thinks that the culprit is part of his entourage. In prison, Tristan loses hope. He knows that everything accuses him and that the prosecutor Perraud (Xavier Deluc) wants his head. To denounce the miscarriage of justice of which he is the victim, he announces to Raphaëlle (Jennifer Lauret) that he is going to go on a hunger strike and asks her to warn the press.

At the hospital, George confides in Victoire his doubts about Vanessa. He finds it strange that Loïc Mercier attacked her and that she killed him while defending herself. Moreover, he discovered that Alice Reynie, Vanessa’s stepmother, died of a heart attack, just like the victims of Mercier and his copycat. Victoire advises him to look for evidence but warns him: if Vanessa were to discover his suspicions, he would be in danger. During Vanessa’s shift at the Spoon, George rummages through her belongings and discovers a metal box in the false bottom of her closet. Before he can open it, Vanessa comes in and calls him. George pretends to be looking for an administrative document and slips away claiming to need a shower. Far from being fooled, Vanessa opens her closet and understands that the false bottom has been searched. Returning to the kitchen, George finds his girlfriend serving him dinner. She has prepared a new recipe for him, but she is not hungry. Worried, George doesn’t dare eat Vanessa’s preparation…
