As Plus belle la vie comes to an end, the editorial staff of Télé Star has devised a ranking of the 50 best characters from four daily soap operas.
They make the heyday of access-prime-time. They are the daily soap operas. This is France 3 which popularized this genre with the launch of More beautiful life in 2004. Since then, TF1 and France 2 have also wanted to take their share of the cake. And it was done successfully. In 2017, the front page thus kicked off tomorrow belongs to uswhile a year later, such a big sun landed on France 2. Building on the success of DNA, the leading channel in France repeated the feat by launching a series derived from it, Here it all starts. But there will be upheaval in the world of soap operas. 40. Greg Delobel (Mikael Mittelstadt) – Here it all begins
The pitch of the repressed gay man falling in love with the very person he was persecuting is not new, but what the hell is going on with Greg Delobel! In two years, the character embodied by Mikaël Mittelstadt has changed completely, going from an undrinkable reactionary to a chilled lover without losing the charm and gentle acerbity that characterize him. 39. Vanessa Lehman (Victoire Dauxerre) – Tomorrow belongs to us
Harshly frank, a little crazy, Vanessa made a mixed entrance into tomorrow belongs to us. His charisma and his endearing side nevertheless ended up seducing, so much so that when his criminal background was revealed, viewers had seen nothing coming. But his world faltered when he discovered that the latter was not a rich exporter but the biggest drug trafficker in Marseille. Rather than following in his father’s footsteps, Abdel Fedala chose justice. A man straight in his boots and who knew how to show abnegation.
36. Hortense Rochemont (Catherine Davydzenka) – Here it all begins
Solar personality, extravagant glasses and completely unique voice, Hortense is clearly one of the most remarkable and noticed students of the Auguste Armand Institute. Enough to make her one of the best soap opera characters, thanks in particular to the faultless interpretation of Catherine Davydzenka, which makes the young woman as endearing as it is annoying.
35. Nordine Becker (Youcef Agal) – Tomorrow belongs to us
Full of humor and sometimes a bit silly, clumsy but infinitely kind, Nordine Becker knew how to touch us. It was to find his biological father, Commander Martin Constant, that the young policeman landed in Sète. If the beginnings were complicated between the two men, he finally managed to be accepted and loved. Since this summer, Nordine has started a romance with Manon towards whom, despite some clumsiness, he is adorable. Above all, this relationship earned him to be carried along by his in-laws. 34. David Gauthier (Liam Hellmann) – Here it all begins
He just arrived in Here it all starts, yet David immediately stood out from the other personalities of the Institute thanks to his humor, his patter but also the dark past that he quickly revealed. And the series quickly confirmed it, Anaïs and David have experienced traumatic events that only make their relationship even more fascinating. Thanks to a very well-found balance between humor and seriousness, the character of David is therefore one of the most interesting additions among the new students, making him well deserve a place in this top.
33. Jacob (Christophe Morillon) – More beautiful life
More beautiful life has had his share of serial killers, but Jacob is one of those who will not be forgotten. Jacob is the one who kidnapped Camille (Elsa Cipriani), the one who killed Caesar (Grant Lawrens) and above all, the one who slipped through the fingers of the police to the point of, sometimes, making us believe that he would succeed to escape him forever. Unforgettable !
32. Elisabeth Bastide (Chrystelle Labaude) – Such a big sun
What would be such a big sun without Elisabeth Bastide? A woman of character, a talented entrepreneur, Elisabeth is a solid female character whose underside we like to discover, on rare occasions.
31. Manu Léoni (Moïse Santamaria) – Such a great sun
Alternately smiling or intimidating depending on whether he is talking to the people he loves or to suspects, Manu Léoni has a particularly endearing personality which makes him a very popular character.Such a big sun. It must be said that with all the hardships he has gone through, it is difficult not to feel empathy for the one who never hesitates to give of himself to solve a case or help his loved ones. Not to mention the fact that beneath his tough looks hides a giant with a big heart…
