As the investigation into Flammand’s death ends, the police will have to deal with a strange Santa Claus in Tomorrow Belongs to Us. Franck Monsigny, Martin’s interpreter, talks about the Christmas plot and his reunion with Raphaëlle.
The coming weeks promise to be particularly complicated for Commander Constant (Franck Monsigny) in Tomorrow Belongs to Us.
It must be said that the Sète police have their work cut out for them at the end of the year. After the investigation into Flammand’s death, Commander Constant and his teams will indeed have to deal with a strange Santa Claus who is rampant in Sète. And suffice to say that the police have no intention of giving him any gifts.
Met a few days ago during a promotion day for the next episode of Joséphine, ange guardian, in which he will be showing on December 25, Franck Monsigny, the interpreter of Martin Constant, spoke to the Allociné microphone about the Christmas plot, the reunion of Martin and Raphaëlle (Jennifer Lauret) as well as an arch dedicated to Martin and Nordine (Youcef Agal). A great program in perspective!
Allociné: Martin will actively participate in an investigation into burglaries of Christmas gifts. What can you tell me about this holiday plot?
Franck Monsigny : He is a villain that we are lightly looking for since he is a gentleman burglar Santa who robs the rich to give to the poor. So this Robin Hood side doesn’t make us hate him, but it’s still burglaries and it ruins the lives of some of the characters in Tomorrow Belongs to Us who are going to be robbed. Marianne (Luce Mouchel) and the Brunets are going to be victims. It’s a double reading plot because with this Santa Claus we are going to fall into something much more dramatic and much more important.
Between Martin and Raphaëlle, it’s a beautiful love story. Between Martin’s rehabilitation and Camille’s arrest which pushed Raphaëlle to settle in Rennes while awaiting her daughter’s trial, they are not really spared. How will the reunion between them go?
They will be soft. They were greatly hoped for by the people who never stopped writing to me during our absence. And they will be lasting because they will never leave each other. But what will be interesting is to go through the professional relationships experienced through a couple who adore each other but who sometimes find themselves in opposition.
Can we hope to see them settle down together?
We can completely hope so, yes.
The bonds between Martin and Nordine strengthen over the episodes. Will we be treated to more scenes centered on this connection in the future?
It’s planned. It will be filming around January with an issue that will involve the father and son. Martin and Nordine will find themselves around a character from the past who will put them to the test. Many scenes between Martin and Nordine are planned for our greatest joy because we have an ease in filming together and a lot of complicity. He’s a dream son for me.
What is your view on the Nordine-Martin relationship?
When I learned that Martin was going to have a son, it made me so emotional that I welcomed him and took him under my wing. I explained to him everything he needed to know. And even today, we have a professional and intimate affect. I am very attentive to what he experiences in his own life.
