Passing through the Canneséries festival, Arnaud Henriet, the interpreter of Sylvain Moreno in “Tomorrow belongs to us”, confided in our microphone about his character and the impact of the future Messy trial on the Moreno family.
Allociné: Sylvain and Christelle (Ariane Séguillon) won the jackpot and became multimillionaires. Were you surprised when you discovered this major turning point in their lives?
Arnaud Henriet : It’s awesome ! When I read the script, I thought it was deadly! It’s a pleasure to think that life is going to change and it was not bad to play. Afterwards, I think it’s well written because money isn’t everything. That’s kind of the message here. Ok, they have money but there are also other annoyances. It’s quite well seen.
In a few days, the intrigue on the Spoon hostage-taking will come back to the fore with the trial of Anthony and Ophélie Messy. We imagine that this will wake up a lot of things for Sylvain who was one of the hostages. What can you tell us about this?
The trial will be heated and short-lived [rires]. Inevitably, it will be impactful for the Moreno.
Will this story bring Charlie (Clémence Lassalas) and Sylvain closer together?
Not really. It’s always confrontational with Charlie. Sylvain feels the lack of his children and Charlie is not his daughter. It will never be his daughter.
Sylvain and Christelle made their fortune thanks to the gold ingot that Anthony and Ophélie had lost during their run following the Spoon’s hostage-taking. Will this story resurface?
Yes ! It always comes back a bit. You know, when you do something wrong it always comes back. We pay for it one day [rires].
A word on the friendship between Sylvain and Alex (Alexandre Brasseur)?
That’s great. We have fun working together and in addition it lacked the friendships guy / guy. There is a small trio between Alex, Tristan (Mathieu Alexandre) and Sylvain which is really not bad.
What do you hope for the future of your character?
If there is still a switch as there was with sorrel, that’s fine with me. But I’m very happy with how the Morenos are developing. Otherwise I would have left and my character would surely be dead [rires].
