Friday December 8 in Tomorrow Belongs to Us…

John, victim of a trap?

In his hideout, John assures Benjamin that he called on a friend to steal all the equipment and drugs necessary for a bone marrow harvest. But Benjamin reminds him that he is only a pediatrician. He only performed this type of procedure once, during his medical studies. Suffice to say that the risks are high. So he wants to take care of it in the hospital. But John refuses to be arrested by the police who already consider him guilty even though he is the victim of a trap. His priority is therefore to save his son before proving his innocence.

At the hospital, Benjamin’s absence is noticed by Victoire. She tries to call him, in vain. Soizic offers to contact him in his place, believing that Benjamin no longer wants to speak to his ex because of their argument about her abortion. However, Soizic falls directly onto his colleague’s answering machine. Victoire finds this suspicious and alerts the police.

At the police station, Aurore confirms that Benjamin is not at home and that his phone has been blocked since the day before at the end of the day. According to Roxane, the last message he received came from a prepaid phone and told him to meet him in a parking lot. Aurore concludes that John kidnapped Benjamin to force him to take a bone marrow sample. Karim launches a search for Benjamin’s vehicle. A little later, Sara finds traces of him in a gas station right next to the two men’s meeting place. These are actually together inside the car. Aurore dismisses the hypothesis of the kidnapping.

Meanwhile, Violette goes to the hospital to take a blood test and test her compatibility with Bastien. She is the second high school student after Jordan to do so. Eventually, several other students, including Jack and Lizzie, step up to take a blood test as well. Victoire then announces to Violette that Bastien is no longer in intensive care. She allows the young girl to visit her. At her friend’s bedside, Violette tells him what she did for him. Bastien thanks her, then confides in her that he feels a little lost without news from his father.

At the police station, Georges learns that he must go to Paris for training for 15 days. He talks about it to Nordine, admitting that he doesn’t want to leave Sète… or rather Mélody. However, he knows he ruined his chances with her by dodging her kiss the day before. Since then, he has tried to contact her again but she ghosts him. Nordine encourages his colleague not to give up. Georges calls Mélody back and leaves her a message to warn her of his future absence linked to his work, then to offer to explain what happened between them.

For his part, Benjamin tries to find out more about the trap John is talking about. The latter tells him that he wrongly took two additional years in prison at the time when he was stealing cars. In this case, he had been accused of stabbing, although it was not him. Since then, John has become suspicious of the police and their hasty conclusions.

He continues by explaining that the day before Flament’s death, he went to see him to ask him to postpone the payment of the life annuity. Flament would then have lost his temper by accusing him of scamming him, just like someone else. John doesn’t know who he was talking about, but assumes it’s the real culprit. Unfortunately, since one of John’s tools was used as a murder weapon, he thinks the police won’t look any further.

In the evening, John urges Benjamin to take the bone marrow sample. He begins to remove his things. That’s when Benjamin notices blood on his friend’s shoe. The latter denies it outright, but Benjamin prefers to leave. John holds him back, threatening him with a scalpel…

Victor asks Manon for help

At the police station, Victor asks Manon to try to reason with Timothée to convince him not to abandon his studies. The young woman is at first surprised that Timothée returned to Sète without telling her. She then agrees with Victor’s opinion regarding studies, convinced that her friend is destined to do great things.

Manon therefore meets Timothée at Spoon for lunch. She asks him why he didn’t warn her of his return. Timothée says he waited to recover from his jet lag. But he had indeed planned a list of questions to ask her during their reunion. During their exchange, Timothée talks about his breakup with Elsa, as well as his desire to launch into working life. Manon thinks he is wrong, repeating Victor’s arguments word for word. Timothée thus understands that he has been manipulated and leaves the scene.

On returning home, Timothée directly confronts his father, who is in the middle of a meeting with Philippine. Timothy declares that he has made a final decision. Once alone with Victor, Philippine advises him to let go and let his son realize his mistake on his own.

Chloe opposes her mother

At the hospital, Marianne worries about not having heard from Chloé since she admitted to her that she was hesitant about returning to her position as principal. She suspects that her daughter refused the position and is worried about her professional future. This is not the case for Renaud, who has complete confidence in Chloé.

At the Christmas market, Chloé notices how well the Spoon food truck is doing. She tells Nathan that he has a real talent for sales. The latter is delighted, even if he still does not know what he will do later. Chloé assures him that he has time to think about it and that he does not have to do the same job all his life. The proof itself is planning to change jobs.

Later, Renaud and Marianne stroll to the Christmas market. While her companion goes shopping, Marianne spots her daughter behind her oyster stand. She immediately guesses that her fears are well-founded, which Chloé confirms. Marianne doesn’t understand her choice at all, especially if it’s to become a seller on the market. Chloé replies that she likes contact with customers.
