Inseparable is the story of Mika, a small-time crook who, during a quick visit to prison, meets “Putin”, a crazy and unpredictable inmate. As soon as his sentence is served, he decides to start from scratch and rebuild his life.
As he prepares to marry the daughter of a rich businessman, his past catches up with him: Putin shows up without warning! Mika will quickly realize that one cannot easily get rid of such a burden…
A funny and rhythmic buddy movie, Inséparables, which is both an action comedy and a buddy film, exudes undeniable sympathy. A delightful adventure whose strong point is clearly its endearing star duo composed of Ahmed Sylla and Alban Ivanov.
Between Ahmed Sylla and Alban Ivanov, there is clearly an alchemy that emerges on screen… If it “matches” so well between the two comedians, who have had similar career paths (debuts on stage and on television then roles in the cinema), it is undoubtedly because they formed a bond, a few years earlier, on the stage of the Jamel Comedy Club.
Released in theaters in 2019, the comedy Inséparables allows director Varante Soudjian, known for his work on television (Scènes de households), to reunite with Ivanov and Sylla, whom he had respectively directed in the film Walter and the series Access.
Inséparables was a great success in French cinemas with more than a million spectators in attendance.
