The Sims’ big competitor, Life By You, has excellent news to announce. Something that might make you forget about the EA franchise for a little while.
After several postponements, Paradox Tectonic has reaffirmed that its life simulator, Life by You, will be available in early access from June 4 of this year. This announcement comes shortly after Krafton revealed that its own competitor to The Sims, named inZOI, is also targeting an early access release in late 2024. The Sims 5 has some worries to worry about.
Life by You or The Sims 5 by Paradox
The confirmation of Life by You’s release date appears to be a direct response to previous delays that affected the game, initially scheduled for September 2023 then postponed to March 2024, and finally set for June 4. These delay announcements, which occurred approximately five to six weeks respectively before the planned launch dates, appear to have pushed Paradox Tectonic to take steps to ensure that this new date is respected.
Led by Rod Humble, former executive producer of The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, LBY is described as drawing heavily from The Sims 3, often considered by fans to be the pinnacle of EA’s life simulation franchise. However, Life by You promises to further emphasize player customization, a feature highly anticipated by the community.

The life simulator market, long dominated by visions centered on the United States thanks to The Sims, could experience a revival with these new entries.
