Tonight on TV: these superheroes had the difficult task of succeeding Iron Man and Captain America in the hearts of Marvel fans

Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: a new generation of Marvel superheroes in a film with a luxurious cast.

It’s difficult to succeed the iconic Iron Man and Captain America… And yet, they rose to the challenge brilliantly by managing to renew the superheroic genre!

They are The Eternals, a group of heroes from the ends of the universe who, since the dawn of humanity, have protected the Earth. When the Deviants, monstrous creatures long thought extinct, mysteriously reappear, the Eternals are forced to come together once again to defend humanity…

The Eternals is a massive epic spanning millennia and featuring a team of ten diverse superheroes that we can’t wait to introduce to the world.”declares Kevin Feige, the big boss of Marvel.

“While being part of the tradition of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film is also innovative: it is a precursor to what the MCU has in store for us in the future.”

Released in theaters in 2021, the ambitious feature film The Eternalsled by an XXL cast (Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Kit Harington, Harry Styles…), is an astonishing superheroic work, as spectacular as it is deep, full of action, humor and emotion.

It is the twenty-sixth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began in 2008 with Iron Man and the third of Phase IV, after Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

The Eternals was a great public success in French cinemas with nearly 1.8 million spectators in attendance. What if you discovered these new superheroic characters quietly installed in your living room?

Tonight on TMC at 9:25 p.m.
