“Too much love for you”, this candidate sends a strong message to Slimane

This Saturday, May 11, 2024, the grand final of the 68th edition of Eurovision took place. This year, the competition took place in Sweden. An edition which was marked by several controversies but which still smiled on France since Slimane won 4th place in the competition with his title My love. The victory goes to the Swiss Nemo, who managed to convince with his title The Stone.

And if Slimane did not win Eurovision 2024, the singer is still very happy with the outcome of the competition. In the evening, he also wanted to thank his community on his Instagram account. “Friends, I just wanted to tell you that you are incredible. I love you so much and I hope you are proud of me. There, I kiss you, I love you, big kisses”, he wrote.

And during the evening, Slimane also confided his emotion at having been able to sing in French. “I am very moved because I sang in my language, I sang love, I sang peace. It’s not sadness, it’s really pride. I am very proud for Nemo, he deserved to win”, he confided. But Slimane was not the only Eurovision 2024 candidate to have sung in French.

Indeed, the singer Tali, who represented Luxembourg also sung in French with its title Fighter. A common point that brings together since a few days ago, Slimane and Tali published a video on Instagram in which we can see them both behind a piano performing a mashup of their two titles. “A little mashup to celebrate the two French songs this year”, can we read in the caption of this Instagram post.

And this publication really pleased Internet users since in just 3 days, it has already been viewed by 3.2 million people. The young 23-year-old singer then took to her social networks to thank Internet users. “3 million views, thank you friends! Too much love for you and your work Slimane”, wrote Tali in an Instagram story, this Monday, May 13, 2024. For her part, singer Tali came in 13th place in the ranking.

After his performance, Slimane also received a lot of support from French artists including Camille Lellouche, Marie-Myriam and Florent Pagny. But the singer obviously received congratulations from his great friend Vitaa who wrote: “You delivered the best performance of your career,” to the one she calls “brother”before adding: “We are so proud, my Slimane”. Slimane also received a nice compliment from Emmanuel Moire who indicated that the artist had been “remarkable on all levels, both humanly and artistically”.
