Top 14: first home defeat for Union Bordeaux-Bègles (13–16)

Countered by Racingmen who chained a fifth consecutive success in the Top 14, the players of Christophe Urios missed the boat in the first period. They retain first place. They will travel to Toulouse next Sunday.

Jostled at the start of the game by a Racing 92 team which quickly took the lead thanks to two penalties from Maxime Machenaud (6-0 in the 8th minute), Union Bordeaux-Bègles gradually took the upper hand insisting in the axis, with its forwards.

We saw a lot of Thomas Jolmes, Clément Maynadier, Kane Douglas opening up gaps in the Ile-de-France defense and a try from Ben Tameifuna converted by Mattéo Garcia allowed UBB to take the lead at the break (7-6). A minimal gap for the Bordelo-Béglais who had missed two clear test opportunities.
