A major feat for Racing 92. At the end of a long fight which they generally mastered, the Ciel et Blancs brought down the reigning double French champions on their land (15-20), a first this season. Despite 14 points left on the way at the foot and two huge blunders from Finn Russell (32nd) and Donovan Taofifenua (40th), the Ile-de-France residents were able to rely on an iron defense and a quality occupation of the field to thwart the men of ‘Ugo Mola. Donovan Taofifenua came to improve the efforts of his forwards, dominating this evening, by scoring a corner try (42nd).
Too imprecise collectively, the Red and Black relied on individual exploits, as evidenced by the two sparks of Juan Cruz Mallia (23rd) and Santiago Chocobares (46th), to exist in the meeting. In the standings, Racing 92 did an excellent job by getting closer to the qualifying places car (8th, 34 points) while Stade Toulousain is no longer on the podium (4th, 42 points).
