In a video posted on his YouTube channel on May 22, Philippe Etchebest says he was the victim of blood poisoning a few years ago. The situation had even escalated to the point that the cook ended up in emergency hospitalization.
Why settle for the small screen when you can flourish on the Internet? Star of Top Chef, Philippe Etchebest has decided to extend his broadcasting empire to the YouTube platform, on which he has created a channel. Thus, the starred chef regularly publishes videos in which he shares cooking recipes, tips for being behind the stove or even anecdotes about his other passion, music. In a video posted this Sunday, May 22, Philippe Etchebest was with two sports influencers, Tibo InShape and Juju FitCats, with whom he tried to develop dishes that were both tasty and balanced. During their time spent together, the duo interviewed Philippe Etchebest about his career, asking the chef in particular if he had encountered any misadventures in the kitchen. The opportunity for the juror of Top Chef to reveal that in his early days, he had been the victim of a serious accident. “The worst sore I had, I was preparing a fish soup. And while cleaning the fish, I didn’t blunder and got bitten by a snitch“said Philippe Etchebest before adding: “After a week, I was really not well. I arrive in the kitchen, I had eyes like that. The chef looks at me, he thought I had partied all night. He asks me if it’s okay, I tell him ‘No, no, it’s not okay’. And then I show him my arm. I had a whole chain of ganglia down my arm“.
Philippe Etchebest ended up in the hospital
Faced with the aggravation of the condition of the young cook, – obviously the victim of blood poisoning -, his boss at the time immediately ordered him to the hospital. One thing is certain: since this injection, Philippe Etchebest has been on the alert!
