M6 is thinking big for the 15th anniversary of its famous culinary competition “Top Chef”. This year, there will not be four starred chefs on the jury but six! Two great chefs join Hélène Darroze, Glenn Viel, Paul Pairet and Philippe Etchebest to judge the candidates for the new season, filming of which began Monday October 16.
It’s a real little revolution in the world of Top chef. Monday October 16, during the filming of the 15th season of the culinary competition, the candidates found themselves facing not four star chefs but six!
Dominique Crenn and Stéphanie Le Quellec join the jury
Hélène Darroze (three stars), Glenn Viel (three stars), Paul Pairet (three stars) and Philippe Etchebest (one star) were in fact joined by two other great chefs: Dominique Crenn, the first woman to be awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide in United States, and Stéphanie Le Quellec, winner of the second season of the show in 2011 and two-star chef who notably co-hosted the show The midday market this summer on Europe 1, alongside Olivier Poels.
There will therefore be six brigades for this 15th season of Top chef, the broadcast date of which has not yet been revealed. Viewers should probably discover the new faces of the competition in spring 2024.
Dominique Crenn, 58, runs three restaurants in San Francisco, including Atelier Crenn. The chef left France at the age of 21 and moved back there this year for the opening of Golden Poppy, her first restaurant in Paris. “My partner, the American actress Maria Bello, fell in love with Paris,” she confided. Dominique Crenn and his partner have had an apartment in the capital for two years. Stéphanie Le Quellec, 41, is at the helm of the restaurant La Scène in Paris. The arrival of Dominique Crenn and Stéphanie Le Quellec feminizes the show’s jury, which until now only included one woman, Hélène Darroze.
