Tori Spelling and her mother Candy reconciled thanks to her divorce? “She really needed help”

For years, Tori and Candy Spelling have been backcombing their buns through the media. At the heart of their hostilities, Dean McDermott, who the star of the series Beverly Hills 90210 married on May 7, 2006. Candy and her husband, producer Aaron Spelling, disapproved of their daughter’s union with the Canadian actor, particularly because at the time of their meeting, Tori had only been married for a year and a half with actor Charlie Shahnaian, in 2004… If the actress’s father finally agreed to meet his new son-in-law on June 11, 2006, the two men did not really have time to get to know each other. The filmmaker died of a heart problem on June 23 at the age of 83. Candy accuses their daughter of precipitating her father’s death. And the latter’s inheritance worsens the situation, leaving Tori only $800,000 out of his $55 million fortune. After almost twenty years of tension between mother and daughter, Candy Spelling announced to People this Monday, April 15, they mended their ways.

The cause of this reconciliation? Tori Spelling’s divorce from Dean McDermott, officially signed on March 29 after nine months of separation and 17 years of marriage. “Well, she really needed support,” Candy Spelling, now 78, told the US tabloid, adding that this meant “a lot” for her to be able to help her daughter. The grandmother of Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau clarified that the former interpreter of Donna Martin was counting on her. “Everything is fine between us”, repeated the person concerned. Furthermore, if the divorce file of her daughter and her ex-stepson does not mention the existence of a prenuptial agreement, Candy would have assured the star that she would take care of her financially with her grandchildren , according to the confidences of a close friend.
