We now know the 12 participants in the final of the Overwatch League 2022, which will begin on October 30.
Hangzhou Spark, Florida Mayhem and Toronto Defiant will meet in Anaheim for the OWL 2022 playoffs. This weekend ended the Countdown Cup, final tournament of the 2022 Overwatch League regular season. If the Eastern champion had already qualified, Hangzhou Spark, we now know the two Western conference champions, Florida Mayhem beaten down Toronto Defiant 3-1. The latter was returned to the lower bracket and crushed Boston Uprising 3-0 to qualify for the playoffs.
The final phase of season 5 will take place on October 30 with the 9 best teams of the season and the last three qualified via the Countdown Cup. Overwatch 2’s new hero, Kiriko, will be playable. The tournament will end on November 4 with a prize pool of $2.55 million to be shared. On the French side, we will find only one player: Gael “Poko” Gouzerch, the French international and London Spitfire tank. His team will play Philadelphia Fusion in the tournament opener on the 30th at 10:30 p.m.
