(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies has been selected to install and operate 1,100 high-power charging points (HPC) as part of the Deutschlandnetz (Germany Network) call for tenders launched by the German government.

These new charging points (up to 200 kW) will be deployed at 134 charging sites across the east, central and west of the country and will be powered entirely by renewable electricity.

The call for tenders, launched by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV), aims to create a national fast charging network tailored to customer needs and consisting of 8,000 new high-power charging points, across almost a thousand locations across Germany.

High Power Charging is a technology that allows compatible electric vehicles to charge at a power above 50 kW and up to 300 kW.
