(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces that its subsidiary Saft has delivered backup batteries for critical safety systems in tunnels located along a new section of the USBRL rail link in the Kashmir Valley, in the Indian Himalayas .
‘Providing permanent power to critical systems in extreme conditions, the installations will optimize lifetime costs, reduce travel times and stimulate local economic growth,’ explains the group.
Rail equipment manufacturer Autometers Alliance Ltd has tapped Saft for more than 30 sets of ReGenPro batteries, which provide a minimum of two hours of runtime for critical tunnel safety and communications systems.
