New week and new predictions for the FIFA 23 TOTW 12 Team of the Week. As usual, EA will offer new IF cards following the results of the best professional players of the past week. For the moment, the TOTW (IF) card system seems to be the same as last year with a Featured card (highlighted) as well as fairly standard boosts depending on the level of the card. We therefore present to you our predictions for the new cards which will be available in the packs from Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Guardians Team of the Week 12
Aaron Ramsdale, Arsenal, Premier League
What a season for the Gunners who continue to maintain a healthy lead in the Premier League table. In the North London derby, Arsenal won thanks in particular to goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The Englishman was perfect to keep his clean sheets, ending the match 2-0 against Spurs.
Fernando Martinez, Almeria, La Liga
It’s always difficult to predict the goalkeepers and here our choice is a bit by default. EA likes to select a “small goalkeeper” in addition to a player from a big league or already having an 80+ card, we opted for Fernando. The Spanish player was decisive against Atlético Madrid, scoring a very important point against one of the leaders of the league.
Defender Predictions
Hamari Traore, Rennes, Ligue 1
What an important victory for Rennes against PSG on Sunday evening! The Breton club carried out the surprise by winning the duel, making it possible to reduce the gap at the top of Ligue 1. The striker is none other than Hamari Traoré, the defender who has been very prominent for some time in Rennes. This second TOTW should be very interesting, especially if the boost is comparable to recent developments given by EA.
Chancel Mbemba, OM, Ligue 1
Yes, this TOTW 12 could be composed mainly of Ligue 1 defenders as there are so many choices! Among our predictions, our choice on relates to Mbemba, the Marseilles was the author of a goal in the victory 2 to 0 of the OM vis-a-vis Troyes. Unless there is a very big boost, this card will not be better than its Dynamic Duo from the beginning of the season.
Midfielders
James Ward-Prowse, Southampton, Premier League
Is there a better free kick taker than JWP currently? Premier League’s Juninho struck again with another long-range goal last weekend. In the end, the English player scored the two goals allowing Southampton to win the three points against Everton. An extremely important victory in terms of maintaining the club.
Paulo Dybala, AS Roma, Serie A
Already regrets for Juventus? The former Juve player has continued to demonstrate an excellent level of play since his arrival at AS Roma. The Argentine scored two goals against Fiorentina, allowing him to consider another boost for his OTW card. The latter should continue to be playable, even if it remains below the best options in Serie A.
Which Attackers in TOTW 12?
Wissam Ben Yedder, AS Monaco, Ligue 1
A rather difficult choice to make since Ben Yedder obtained a Centurion card not long ago, however it will be almost impossible for EA to forget the French player. Indeed, the AS Monaco striker scored a hat-trick in one of the cards last weekend. This second TOTW of the season would be relatively close to the Centurion version, a good Meta card on FIFA 23.
Victor Osimhen, Napoli, Serie A
Napoli continue their incredible season with the total destruction of Juventus. At home, the championship leader crushed Juve 5-1 thanks in particular to two goals and an assist from Victor Osimhen. Author of 12 goals since the start of the season, the Napoli player would get a second TOTW there, pushing him more and more towards a playable option.
FIFA 23 Featured Map of the Week
Nordi Mukiele, PSG, Ligue 1
One of last year’s new features, the Featured Team of the Week card is back in FIFA 23. For TOTW 12, our pick is PSG defender Nordi Mukiele. One of this season’s newcomers to the Paris club, Mukiele appears to be finding his feet with two assists in PSG’s clear win on Wednesday. A good boost could make it an interesting option although Ligue 1 has quite a few DD cards.

We list here players who have a chance of appearing there but who, for various reasons should miss the selection of EA. The interest of listing these cards is to protect you from an investment point of view (see below) and thus potentially take some risks on less expected players.

How to get TOTW cards in FIFA 23?
TOTW cards are often interesting at high level but also for DCEs as well as to achieve specific objectives in friendly match mode. Therefore, even on players whose overall rating would be quite low, it is necessary to know how to get these TOTW cards on FIFA 23.
The first source is obviously the transfer market, where you can find a player’s TOTW cards in special versions of their cards. Be careful, however, because the IF cards sell for much more than the basic version. This is explained in particular by their rarity but also by the fact that the base price (in discard) is already quite high.
A second source remains gold packs of the game, which have these special cards for one week (from Wednesday to the following Wednesday at 7 p.m.). So be careful because once this week is over, it will be impossible to drop them in packs.
Additionally, Team of the Week cards are obtainable as a reward for FUTChampion (WL) depending on your ranking. If this year, the rewards could change, EA should not remove the presence of the TOTW cards. Similarly, the weekly ranking in Rivals allows to obtain TOTW cards although again, in FUT Champion mode (red).
Finally, specific TOTW Packs will be present during the season in ECDalthough the latter are often unprofitable because they are totally random.
Investments linked to TOTW predictions on FIFA 23
If the cards of the players selected in the Team of the week are often good sources of investment, it is also possible to earn credits via the TOTW. Indeed, there are several methods to speculate on the market.
Thus, the simplest and most regular is to bet on current TOTW players’ normal Gold cards. These are not present in the packs during the week, limiting the quantity of cards. If a player is looking to use these cards for DCEs or for their team, the prices can spike a lot. So buy the cards in anticipation of this rise, speculating on TOTW’s predictions. This technique is called OOP (Out of Packs, understand outside of packs) and also works for special cards in events. The more specific the card (big league, nation and rare position), the greater its potential. For example, a player like Jonathan Claus is very interesting because he is French, from Ligue 1 and on a relatively rare DD position in the Gold card. Therefore, his price in the Gold version could easily triple in OOP.
In addition, another method is to analyze future good TOTW cards and thus speculate on the cards related to them. For example, if Haaland receives a Team of the Week card, it’s likely players will be looking to incorporate him into their FUT roster. Thus, they will also seek to link this new card with other Bundesliga players, Dortmund players or even Norwegian players in order to create the best possible links. It is therefore possible to invest in cards allowing perfect links, just before the release of the new Team of the week. This technique will be useful with the release of special maps until around mid-December, before which time Team of the Week starts to look less interesting on FIFA 23.
Note that these two strategies require good anticipation of the market, but also finding the right timing. Often the cards to buy go up quickly, so you need to plan ahead who to buy. Also, this bull run won’t last long, so it’s necessary to play for a few days and quickly sell your cards.
