TOTW 13 FIFA 23 Team of the Week Predictions

New week and new predictions for the FIFA 23 TOTW 13 Team of the Week. As usual, EA will offer new IF cards following the results of the best professional players of the past week. For the moment, the TOTW (IF) card system seems to be the same as last year with a Featured card (highlighted) as well as fairly standard boosts depending on the level of the card. We therefore present to you our predictions for the new cards which will be available in the packs from Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Prediction : Score over the past week, 7/9.

Leaks : You can check our Team of the Week leaks to find out in advance which players will be selected by EA.

Guardians Team of the Week 13

David Raya, Brentford, Premier League

Brentford’s unbeaten streak continues as the London club picked up another point from their weekend draw with Leeds. Although victory eluded them, Toney’s team-mates were able to count on the very good performance of David Raya, the Spanish goalkeeper.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, Torino, Serie A

After getting a special card a few weeks ago, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic could be back in the spotlight in FIFA 23 with this TOTW card. Indeed, the Serbian player had a great match against Fiorentina, allowing his club to win the three points with a score of 1 to 0.

Defender Predictions

Nico Schlotterbeck, Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga

Great performance from Nico Schlotterbeck, the young German defender was decisive for Borussia Dortmund with a goal, an assist and another long pass leading to a third goal. If his performance wasn’t flawless defensively, that offensive contribution should be enough for EA. Note that its OTW version is playable and could be even stronger if the card receives a good boost.

Mario Hermoso, Atletico Madrid, La Liga

While some are expecting a new TOTW version for Antoire Griezmann, our prediction is for his teammate Mario Hermoso. The Atlético defender scored a goal in Madrid’s clear 3-0 win over Valladolid. Depending on the boost level, this could become a decent option on a cheap team.

Midfielders

Enzo Fernandez, Benfica, Liga NOS

One of the stars of the world champion training at the last CDM, Enzo Fernandez is still linked to big clubs in the transfer window. While waiting for a move to a big league, the Benfica player had two assists in the win over Santa Clara.

Jarrod Bowen, West Ham, Premier League

In a duel flavored with a struggle to stay in the Premier League, West Ham won comfortably 2-0. The author of these two goals is none other than Jarrod Bowen, the English player shouldn’t be playable despite this boost.

Which Attackers in TOTW 13?

Riyad Mahrez, Man City, Premier League

As fans wait for one more TOTW for Haaland, the presence of the Norwegian player in the vote for the 12th man in the TOTY could be a problem for EA. Thus, the studio should move towards Riyad Mahrez whose DCE does not prevent his presence in TOTW. Author of two goals and an assist against Spurs, the Algerian player will get a solid card there although his Centurions version will be much better.

Jesper Lindstrom, Frankfurt, Bundesliga

What an incredible first half of the season for Frankfurt as they climbed to second place in the Bundesliga. The Lindstorm team-mates can regularly count on their brilliant young Dane, as was the case last weekend with a goal and an assist. The latter could get there his third TOTW card of the season on FIFA 23, although he is still far from being really a Meta option.

FIFA 23 Featured Map of the Week

Eddie Nketiah, Arsenal, Premier League

One of the new features from last year, the Featured Team of the Week card is back in FIFA 23. For TOTW 13, our pick is Eddie Nketiah, the young Arsenal striker. Facing Man United, the Gunners were able to count on the very good game of the English player, who scored twice allowing a 3-2 victory.

Cards that could appear in TOTW 13

We list here players who have a chance of appearing there but who, for various reasons should miss the selection of EA. The interest of listing these cards is to protect you from an investment point of view (see below) and thus potentially take some risks on less expected players.

  • Griezmann, Atletico Madrid
  • Haaland, Manchester City
  • El Shaarawy, AS Roma
  • Pedro Porro, Sporting
  • Di Lorenzo, Napoli
  • Pedri, FC Barcelona

How to get TOTW cards in FIFA 23?

TOTW cards are often interesting at high level but also for DCEs as well as to achieve specific objectives in friendly match mode. Therefore, even on players whose overall rating would be quite low, it is necessary to know how to get these TOTW cards on FIFA 23.

The first source is obviously the transfer market, where you can find a player’s TOTW cards in special versions of their cards. Be careful, however, because the IF cards sell for much more than the basic version. This is explained in particular by their rarity but also by the fact that the base price (in discard) is already quite high.

A second source remains gold packs of the game, which have these special cards for one week (from Wednesday to the following Wednesday at 7 p.m.). So be careful because once this week is over, it will be impossible to drop them in packs.

Additionally, Team of the Week cards are obtainable as a reward for FUTChampion (WL) depending on your ranking. If this year, the rewards could change, EA should not remove the presence of the TOTW cards. Similarly, the weekly ranking in Rivals allows to obtain TOTW cards although again, in FUT Champion mode (red).

Finally, specific TOTW Packs will be present during the season in ECDalthough the latter are often unprofitable because they are totally random.

Investments linked to TOTW predictions on FIFA 23

If the cards of the players selected in the Team of the week are often good sources of investment, it is also possible to earn credits via the TOTW. Indeed, there are several methods to speculate on the market.

Thus, the simplest and most regular is to bet on current TOTW players’ normal Gold cards. These are not present in the packs during the week, limiting the quantity of cards. If a player is looking to use these cards for DCEs or for their team, the prices can spike a lot. So buy the cards in anticipation of this rise, speculating on TOTW’s predictions. This technique is called OOP (Out of Packs, understand outside of packs) and also works for special cards in events. The more specific the card (big league, nation and rare position), the greater its potential. For example, a player like Jonathan Claus is very interesting because he is French, from Ligue 1 and on a relatively rare DD position in the Gold card. Therefore, his price in the Gold version could easily triple in OOP.

In addition, another method is to analyze future good TOTW cards and thus speculate on the cards related to them. For example, if Haaland receives a Team of the Week card, it’s likely players will be looking to incorporate him into their FUT roster. Thus, they will also seek to link this new card with other Premier League players, Man City players or even Norwegian players in order to create the best possible links. It is therefore possible to invest in cards allowing perfect links, just before the release of the new Team of the week. This technique will be useful with the release of special maps until around mid-December, before which time Team of the Week starts to look less interesting on FIFA 23.

Note that these two strategies require good anticipation of the market, but also finding the right timing. Often the cards to buy go up quickly, so you need to plan ahead who to buy. Also, this bull run won’t last long, so it’s necessary to play for a few days and quickly sell your cards.

So much for our predictions of the players of the new TOTW 13 team of the week of FIFA 23. If as often EA will seek to muddy the waters by selecting profiles a little more obscure, we are confident that the majority of the players listed above will be available as a special card on FIFA 23. As a reminder, the TOTW 13 will be officially unveiled Wednesday at 7 p.m..
