A demonstration claimed by a group of pro-climate activists
The leading runner, the Italian Alberto Bettiol (EF Education), was able to cross this roadblock formed by demonstrators, apparently half a dozen people seated on the road, through a curtain of smoke bombs. Alberto Bettiol was stopped a few moments later to be able to respect the gaps, which were around twenty seconds over the 24 pursuers and nearly seven and a half minutes over the peloton.
A group of pro-climate activists, called “last renovation”, claimed responsibility for the operation on social networks.
