The Swiss crashes on stage 6 and cannot continue the Tour de France Femmes.
Two days after her stage win in Bar-sur-Aube, Marlen Reusser suffered a serious fall at the Tour de France Femmes. The Swiss from the SD Worx team fell 22.5 km before the finish in a descent together with teammate Lotte Kopecky and Lorena Wiebes (DSM).
According to the team, she suffered a concussion, as investigations in a hospital showed. A break is essential for recovery, wrote SD Worx. Reusser will therefore not start the 7th stage. Despite her fall, the woman from Bern still finished in Rosheim, Alsace.
Vos WINS the mass sprint
Leader Marianne Vos (Jumbo-Visma) secured victory in the hilly, 129 km long stage from Saint-Dié-des-Vosges to Rosheim. The Dutchwoman prevailed in the sprint of a 39-strong group. Thanks to her 10 bonus seconds, she extended her overall lead to 30 seconds. Elise Chabbey (Canyon-SRAM) from Geneva defended her 10th place overall.
