Available since August 11, Tower of Fantasy was able to capture a large audience of Western players at its launch, which has unfortunately been significantly reduced since. The developers do not intend to give up, however, and rely heavily on 2.0. A new version which arrives very quickly since it will arrive only two months after the release of the game. The studio wants to catch up on the Chinese version, and the banners and events are therefore linked at a good speed.
Now all eyes are on the 2.0 update, due October 20th. To reveal more about the new content, the Hotta Studio team held a livestream. In this show, we were able to discover the new areas, the first banners and all the new features expected. We sum it all up for you.
Direction Vera
In this presentation of about thirty minutes, the developers fly over the main lines of this version 2.0. Of course, we especially remember the addition of new areas. After a somewhat empty artificial island in 1.5, we will thus be able to go to Vera. A true new world like Aesperia, this new place will be vast with plenty to do. In particular, continue the main story, which will add new quests around the entities of the Entrespace.
There are several distinct biomes to be found in Vera. We have the famous desert, divided into several regions with different characteristics. Between the sandstorms where you have to take shelter, the rocky pillars that are difficult to climb and the shifting sands that will slow you down, the desert will not be easy to cross. We will still have a little respite with the corner of the Oasis which looks very pretty.
Mirroria is of course at the heart of the attention: this city with a cyberpunk tone promises to be very large and will be divided into several zones, with places dedicated to entertainment, such as the Oasis Club with its bars, the Archives zone, more intellectual or the Hall Mirafleur, located in the business district. To move, we can take public transport to go more quickly from one district to another by metro.
New enemies will also appear when exploring the region, ranging from ordinary opponents, such as red flame lizards, horrifibeasts and sand worms, to more tenacious world bosses such as Magma and rudolph, which will have to be slaughtered by several people. The first is a large monster that masters its environment, while the second is a mechanical deer created as a test subject.
Ruby is coming in 2.0
Logically, new characters and simulacra will be added. In the first simulacra that we can invoke, we find Ruby, the first character that will be added to the banners. Ruby is an expected simulacrum, who is primarily a support character, who bases her element on fire. In particular, she uses a plush called Sparky to attack at mid-range.

Another character was hovered over, Saki Fuwa, a swordswoman head of Mirroria’s security forces. It offers a defense resonance and will be of the ice element.
Bosses, gachapons, nucleus….
One of the novelties of 2.0 is the arrival of gachapon machines in Mirroria. With the new currency, the Mira, you will be able to use these machines and randomly draw one of the rewards. There is no guarantee here, and there are several machines. Inside, there are multiple rewards, such as Nuclei, relic parts, and cosmetics.
This new currency is obtained by completing missions, but also by opening password chests : save your chips now to get the new currency! New side quests are appearing, especially in the big city, with new rewards. We can also find objects on the ground by searching the alleys a little.
Three limited-time events will also be included: unfortunately no or few images, we simply know that there will be Race in Mirroria from October 27 to November 9, which we imagine similar to what we already had in the first versions. Then, we will have another event from November 1 to 14 and a third from November 17 to 30.
Finally, we will have some endgame content, with the appearance of two bosses to achieve in raids. The first is the puppet Singer, a former singing droid, particularly fast with his lightning attacks and wind blades. The second is the Weaver, located in the Valley of Sorrows instance. Apparently very difficult to beat, he can create clones which will make the fight particularly difficult.
Nucleus reward codes
To celebrate the arrival of this update and thank those who watched the live stream, it is possible to use several codes to collect in-game rewards, including a Golden Nucleus. Please note that the codes are only valid for a limited time and cannot be used in a few hours (until 14/10 at 6 p.m.).

When will Tower of Fantasy 2.0 be released?
We knew it, the studio wanted to quickly release its major update. We know the date: Tower of Fantasy version 2.0 will be released on October 20, 2022 as it was foreseen. It will be deployed around 5 a.m. with probably compensation for maintenance. The game will also be coming to Steam on the same date. You will be offered various guides at his/her availability.
