Toyota: Yaris Cross, the most produced car in France


(CercleFinance.com) – Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (TMMF) located in Onnaing (59) will retain first place among automobile production sites in France in 2023. The Yaris Cross remains the most produced car in France, all models and brands combined.

With its new production record raised to 273,788 units in 2023, the northern Toyota site, which produces three models on a single production line (Yaris, Yaris Cross, Mazda 2), retains its title acquired in 2022 as the most significant in France (data from Inovev).

This production record was achieved thanks to a three-shift organization (morning, afternoon, night) operating five days a week and capable of producing a car every 58 seconds.

With 200,025 units, an increase of 24% compared to 2022, the Yaris Cross confirms its success for a model launched in 2021. ‘It is not only the most produced car in France for the 2nd consecutive year, but it is also rises to the top of the sales podium in a European segment (B-SUV) at the end of the year,” indicates the group.

‘The Yaris Cross is the best-selling European brand for the Toyota brand and for the 3rd consecutive year on the second step of the podium with a market share estimated at 6.1%’.
