Discover the trailer for Minions 2, the sequel to the Despicable Me saga spin-off centered on the youth of the master of small creatures, Gru. In theaters July 8.
The little guys in overalls from Illumination studios have not said their last word. Five years after their first solo adventure, they’re back in Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru. And the trailer just unveiled promises a sequel as barred as the first part of the spin-off of Moi, Moche et Méchant.
As its title suggests, Minions 2 looks back on Gru’s youth and his relationship at the time with the little yellow creatures. It is besides a Gru version teenager in the Seventies, with hair but the same clothes, which one finds in these images. A 12-year-old Gru already obsessed with becoming the greatest of super-villains. For this, he will try to join the group of Vicious 6. With the help of Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto, he will deploy treasures of ingenuity to build their first lair, experiment with their first weapons and launch their first assignment.
This new opus and its gallery of new characters allows the saga to offer new voices. Among them, in the original version: Taraji P. Henson (Empire, Hidden Figures), Jean-Claude Van Damme, Michelle Yeoh and Julie Andrews.
Directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Ableson, Minions 2 hits theaters July 8.
