The chairman of the European People’s Party, Manfred Weber, considers the AfD to be the most anti-European party in the EU. “If the AfD is on the move in Europe, then the AfD is one of the most radical among the radicals,” said Weber during a visit to the CDU state party conference in Ludwigsburg. The AfD’s top candidate for the European elections, Maximilian Krah, and Bundestag member Petr Bystron, who is in second place on the AfD’s European election list, have been making headlines for weeks because of possible connections to pro-Russian networks.
