The official trailer for the film shows that the sixth part of the “Transformers” series (or part 7, if you count “Bumblebee”) will be loud and violent again. In addition, it is already indicated that this time it will finally go from the urban jungle for the combat robots to the real jungle. Watch the video in German here:

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts: Storyline

The year is 1994, seven years after Bumblebee said goodbye to Charlie and joined Optimus Prime, the Autobots still eke out a hidden existence on Earth.

But then the curious archaeologist and museum assistant Elena Wallace makes a discovery whose consequences she cannot yet imagine. Inside an old bird statue, she finds a mysterious item that will turn out to be the Trans-Warp Key. With this, the Transformers could finally return to their home planet Cybertron.

Of course, the Autobots want to secure this important item as quickly as possible before it falls into the wrong hands. Here they get help from the ex-soldier Noah, who only gets into the whole thing by accident. But soon the merciless Scourge and his dangerous Terrorcons got wind of the important artifact’s appearance and are doing everything they can to win it over.

Anthony Ramos (“In The Heights”) and Dominique Fishback (“Judas And The Black Messiah”) play the lead roles of Noah and Elena. If you watch the film in the original English version, you can also hear some well-known voices, because some of the Transformers have been given prominent voice actors.

This is how the mighty maximal warrior Optimus Primal is voiced by Ron Perlman (“Hellboy”). And behind the bird-like creature Airazor is the voice of Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”).

This time, the “Transformers” sidekick isn’t Bumblebee, but cheeky Mirage. This will be voiced by stand-up comedian and “King Of Staten Island” actor Pete Davidson. And the villain Scourge is voiced by “Game Of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage.

In the new “Transformers” part, there are not only new protagonists at the start, but the director’s chair has also been reassigned. This time director Steven Caple Jr. has taken over the reins and Michael Bay is on board as a producer. Steven Caple Jr. previously made a name for himself with the Rocky spin-off Creed II: Rocky’s Legacy.

The Autobots return with plenty of action and noise! “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” breathes new life into the well-known sci-fi series and offers moviegoers an action-packed blockbuster spectacle. With new protagonists and a new director Steven Caple Jr. in the director’s chair, old mistakes, such as endless material battles, were largely avoided. Of course, the wheel is not being reinvented from scratch, but those who enjoyed “Bumblebee” will also be satisfied with this new start.
