A momentous accident occurred on Monday afternoon during forest work on the Eiberg near Söll in the Tyrolean lowlands. A 29-year-old was caught while moving a tree trunk and was trapped as a result.
The accident at work occurred around 12.30 p.m. The 29-year-old was busy with forest work with a colleague on the Eiberg. He wanted to pull a tree trunk to one side. The heavy trunk slipped, caught the worker and pressed him against a tree stump, causing the 29-year-old to suffer serious injuries in the pelvic area. His colleague sounded the alarm. The seriously injured man was rescued by mountain rescue and flown to the Kufstein hospital.
