What the defendant denied in the trial on Friday: Of the ten years of marriage, only the last two did not go well, according to the Syrian. And by “didn’t go well” he means his wife’s relationship with another man. “I came to Austria alone. The plan was for her and the little one to come. “But my wife didn’t stick to the agreement,” says the 29-year-old, summing up the situation. “Then we both decided to get a divorce,” he adds, emphasizing that he never hit his wife or their child.
