Tributes to Gaspard Ulliel on the screens

Paris Première and Ciné+ will have been the first two channels to modify their programs, from the evening of the announcement of the death of Gaspard Ulliel, Wednesday January 19, following a skiing accident which occurred the day before in La Rosière (Savoie ). The first broadcast Jacquou the crunchy (2007), by Laurent Boutonnat, the second Saint Laurent (2014), by Bertrand Bonello, where Gaspard Ulliel embodied the character of the couturier – an emblematic role which will make him known internationally.

These two films are available on the on-demand streaming services of Ciné+ and Canal+, including its platform MyCanal. Which also offers, as part of a tribute to the deceased actor, six feature films, including The Lost (2003), by André Téchiné – one of the first films shot by the actor, then aged 19 –, and the recent parody series Revenge at Triple Gallop (2021), by Alex Lutz.

Canal+ is also putting a series of programs in which Gaspard Ulliel participated online: an episode of the ” As an aside “ original by Pascale Clark, in February 2007, and interviews within the framework of “Cinema Encounters” (2014) or “Tous cinema”, including a 2016 issue with the participation of Xavier Dolan. Just the end of the world (2016), which Ulliel had shot with the Canadian director, is available on the platform Mubi.

France Télévisions has changed part of its programs to make room, from Thursday January 20 at 9:10 p.m. on France 3, for A long engagement Sunday (2004), by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (for which Gaspard Ulliel was to win the César for best male hope) and, Sunday 23, at 9:10 p.m. on France 2, at Sibyl (2019), by Justine Triet, previously unseen on television.

Amazon Prime offers only one Gaspard Ulliel film included in its subscription offer, The ends of the world (2018), by Guillaume Nicloux. The astonishing and intriguing series that the latter had shot with Gaspard Ulliel, Once upon a second time (2018), is available at Arte.tv.
