In London, the Royals confess on the occasion of the “Trooping the Color” parade for King Charles III. not only color, but also show belonging.

For the first birthday parade in honor of King Charles III, 74, his family around Queen Camilla, 75, and Co. dressed up properly. From military uniform-inspired robes, to the special brooch, this season’s summer trend. GALA shows you what caught the eye of the parade in London.

“Trooping the Color”: Kate and Camilla show themselves in uniform

As Honorary Colonel of the 1st Battalion of the Irish Guards, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, dons Irish green in a fashion that reflects both the country’s natural landscape and Celtic tradition. Queen Camilla also shows her allegiance at her first state event as Colonel of the Grenadier Guard. Fiona Clare’s scarlet robe is inspired by the Grenadier Guards uniform, as evidenced by the gold and black collar and shoulder trimmings.

The gold trefoil brooch

Catherine, Princess of Wales opts for the support of her gold shamrock brooch by Cartier in addition to her green ensemble. Kate first wore the filigree piece of jewelery in 2011 and since then she has taken it out on days when the shamrock celebrates great importance, such as St. Patrick’s Day. In her role as Honorary Colonel of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards, this detail on the Trooping the Color parade is just right for her green look.

George, Charlotte and Louis form a unit

The looks of the fashionable mini royals are different, but despite everything, they show their affiliation with small details. While Princess Charlotte, 8, makes a color statement in a white robe with a red belt, details on the collar and prominent bows, her brothers also include the red color. Prince Louis, 5, confidently leads the way in red shorts and a red tie. In addition, the youngest scion combines a navy blue suit jacket and long stockings. His big brother George, 9, is more conservative. He chooses the classic suit and makes a statement of belonging with the red tie.

Charlotte dress is a sweet tribute to Princess Diana

But the Windsor kids don’t just impress as a sweet team of three, the looks also have a special meaning when worn individually. The red and white look of Princess Charlotte not only fits perfectly in the color of the family picture with Papa William, King Charles III. and Queen Camilla, but can also be counted as a sweet tribute to Princess Diana. She also wore a white dress with a chic navy collar and red details. Was Diana’s look from October 1991 a model for Williams’ daughter’s outfit? The choice is probably not a coincidence.

Is George wearing his father’s jacket?

Charlotte isn’t the only royal who took inspiration from a previous look. With his navy blazer, brother George relies on a piece of clothing that probably comes from William’s closet. He wore a pretty much identical jacket in the mid-1990s. However, while the Prince of Wales then combined it with a blue tie, George continued the color concept of the day with a piece in red.

The Royals rely on natural tones

In addition to King Charles III. and Prince William, 40, in uniform or Kate and Camilla in costumes, Duchess Birgitte and Duchess Sophie are shown in natural tones. The royals inspire in light, earthy nuances from head to toe.

This is an absolute summer trend that the royals are currently showing off. While Duchess Birgitte opts for a silk dress with a tie belt in tobacco from Max Mara, Duchess Sophie, 58, chooses an elegant, cream-colored robe by Belulah London. Together they show that an appearance in muted tones is by no means boring, instead they symbolize classic elegance and noblesse.
