“True Detective” season 4 production details are getting more concrete. Now there is a new team and a new title.
New details about the fourth season of the popular US series “True Detective” are known. How among other things the US industry portal “Deadline” wants to know, a new team will be working on the upcoming episodes. Accordingly, the directors Issa López and Barry Jenkins (42) replace the previous producer Nic Pizzolatto (46).
The first three seasons of “True Detective” were penned by Pizzolatto, which gave him his big breakthrough at the time. However, HBO parted ways with the writer after mixed reviews of seasons two and three and the new ideas were less well received. Nevertheless, the broadcaster stuck to the production of new episodes based on the abysmal crime story.
A new title
The new season will also be titled True Detective: Night Country. Season 1 stars Matthew McConaughey, 52, and Woody Harrelson, 60, are expected to return as executive producers. There is no official confirmation from HBO yet.
