TSD knows the problem – bed bug plague in the Innsbruck emergency shelter

“Unfortunately, there is no long-term solution here”
Since the doors of the emergency shelter are open every day of the year for all people in acute housing shortage, new people are added at any time. “If even one person out of these thousands of overnight stays per year has bed bugs in their clothing or in their luggage, the animals are unfortunately back in the house,” says Cater-Sax, who at the same time emphasizes that “complaints can be reported to us at any time. We then take immediate measures such as treating the affected room, luggage and clothing, changing rooms for the client, dispensing medication in severe cases and making arrangements with a doctor.”
