The TUM Blockchain Conference will take place on September 22nd and 23rd at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. This conference has two ambitious goals: The event aims to provide more knowledge about blockchain and the regulation of the technology, as well as create a platform for exchange between the academic and industrial worlds. The event is organized by the TUM Blockchain Club (TBC), a non-profit student organization at the Technical University of Munich.
The need for the conference
There is already an active student community in the USA that pursues educational goals and makes a significant contribution to the further development of blockchain technology. Blockchain is not just about being fully informed, but also about actively participating. This is the only way the principle of decentralization can be fully implemented.
In Europe, on the other hand, educational opportunities are still rare and less accessible to the community. The TUM Blockchain Conference aims to overcome this discrepancy and establish an independent educational platform around the technology.
The vision of the TUM Blockchain Conference
This conference has a clear vision:
- Blockchain Education: The TUM Blockchain Conference aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, both for beginners and experts.
- Diverse perspectives: In addition to blockchain technology, we also shed light on its regulation and ecosystem. For this purpose, the organizers are trying to create a platform for all opinions.
- Industry leaders and academics: Top-class speakers from industry and science will share their knowledge on current blockchain topics in over 50 talks, panels and workshops.
Structure of the conference
During the two-day event, participants will receive a comprehensive insight into the blockchain universe on three stages and a workshop room. From basic concepts to blockchain regulations to the latest research and developments. In addition to 50+ talks and panels, here are three discussions that viewers should be particularly excited about.
- Blockchain101 Track: Fundamental concepts of blockchain, from distributed ledger technology and smart contracts to data protection and rollups.
- Regulatory track: Basics of regulation through to in-depth discussions about MiCAR, AML, DAO, forensics and taxes.
- Cutting Edge Track: Insights into some of the most current research topics in the blockchain space.
