UA ground armed operation in North-East Syria could be launched by Turkey “at any moment”. The warning was reiterated on Tuesday January 17 by Ibrahim Kalin, the spokesperson for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Since November, the Kurds have been preparing for it. The “Reïs” had then threatened to attack the region they lead, the Administration of North-East Syria (AANES) and in particular their stronghold of Kobané, taken over from the Islamic State (Daesh) in 2015. But for several months, the Turkish threat is already there, very concrete, with the presence, in the sky, of Bayraktar drones.
Popularized by the war in Ukraine, these unmanned vehicles on board sow terror in Kurdistan and force Kurdish cadres and their allies to hide in underground shelters and at the limit…
