Sony HT-S40R in a complete set: Don’t worry about anything anymore

You can simply skip the time-consuming process of putting together individual speaker systems with this complete Sony package. Five channels are already integrated into the soundbar itself, each of which simulates a speaker. To ensure that the surround sound is actually created “around you”, there are two additional speakers that you can place behind your sitting position or next to you. Dolby Digital supports a good audio format, but not the best.

The included subwoofer provides the “oomph” in action scenes. You can connect all components to your television via cable using the connection box, which is conveniently included. An analogue, an optical and an HDMI ARC connection are available for this. The sound via HDMI ARC in particular takes the sound of the soundbar to the next level.

Four modes for individual sound

Alternatively, you can set up the connection at least partially via Bluetooth if you have a Sony Bravia television. The amplifier is wireless, the subwoofer and soundbar use the same power connection. Once set up, you can operate your sound system in four different modes.

Cinema mode simulates cinema sound, music mode is ideal for playing your favorite songs. The voice mode highlights dialogues and the night mode adapts films and series so that you can fall asleep peacefully.

The Sony HT-S40R is not a high-end soundbar. There are models on the market that offer even better sound quality. However, compared to normal television sound, you should still notice a clear difference with the Sony soundbar, especially when combined with subwoofers and speakers. This offer offers good value for money.
