Released in October 2021, Back 4 Blood did not have the success expected by his studio. That’s why Turtle Rock Studios made the decision to stop the charges and focus on a new project.
In a press release, the developers explain that Back 4 Blood will officially go into maintenance and that there will no longer be any new content in the future. The main reason given is that Turtle Rock remains a fairly small studio which therefore does not have enough people to take care of a new game while continuing to work on content for Back 4 Blood. This is why the choice was made to move on.
However, for fans of the game, do not panic. The servers will remain open and it will therefore be possible to continue to knock out the living dead both solo and in coop. The studio also takes the opportunity to take advantage of the fact that its title is available in PlayStation Plus subscriptions as well as in the Xbox Game Pass.
