Lies, interruptions, no respect: Not only the media and politics are disappointed or shocked in view of the TV debate between the incumbent US President and his challenger Joe Biden (77), which got out of hand mainly because of Donald Trump (74). US stars have also expressed their desperation in numerous tweets.

Actress Elizabeth Banks (46, "Pitch Perfect") asked about safety in the face of the chaotic debate: "That's three grown, professional men, right?" Former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams (41, "Say Yes") was also overwhelmed: "I didn't realize that I would need a whole pipette full of CBD oil to look at it." Her colleague Christina Perri (34, "A Thousand Years") also had her difficulties in front of the screen: "It's so difficult to watch. Trump is a child."

"King of Queens" actor Patton Oswalt (51) also had trouble concentrating, as his tweet shows: "God, Trump can't even say a straight sentence who in … OH MY GOD HIS 70,000 DOLLAR HAIR IS SO BEAUTIFUL, I CANNOT RESIST, GET DONE DADDY". Of course, a swipe at the most recently published figures, according to which Trump pays huge amounts for his head of hair every year – as opposed to taxes.

For Alyssa Milano (47, "Mistresses") it went in that TV duel about the big picture: "This debate is about good versus evil." Musician Rob Thomas (48), singer of the band Matchbox Twenty, wondered: "No matter what happens. Is the fact that our president is not able to have a rational discussion not enough to stop him from going on? In the past was that like that. " Comedian Jim Gaffigan (54) wrote: "Somehow Trump managed to take third place in a two-person debate." And "Step Up" actress Alyson Stoner (27) said: "The debate proves that we have finally reached the apocalypse of the ego."

Bette Midler (74, "The Devil's Club") also went off her hat in front of the TV. After tweeted asking Biden to take off his kid gloves and slapping Trump "hard in the face" of his political mistakes "a few times, she summed up." in another tweet sobered together: "Trump is absolutely disgusting and Chris Wallace is a washcloth." Fox presenter Wallace didn't have it easy either, as the Daily Show put it in a nutshell: "Chris Wallace's performance this evening is a good reminder that kindergarten teachers are underpaid."
