TV tips: A new case for Commissioner Anders

Commissioner Anders (ZDF) has to deal with a difficult colleague on Gotland. Ten-year-old Sophie goes on an adventure with the "Big Friendly Giant" (Sat.1). Wladimir Klitschko is a guest in the duel "Small against Big" (Das Erste).

8:15 p.m., ZDF, The Commissioner and the Sea: From Happy Days, Crime

A murder and a break-in in Visby on Gotland lead to an old police suicide: Inspector Anders (Walter Sittler) has to ask himself whether he has made an investigative error in the past. A local series of burglaries leads to the murder of a homeowner. Robert Anders and his team are investigating the case. Support is provided by policeman Sigge (Matti Boustedt), whom nobody likes because he thinks a colleague on the island of Farö is a murderer.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, BFG – Big Friendly Giant, Fantasymärchen

When the orphan Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) discovers a giant during his foray one night, she is promptly kidnapped by him into his realm and is now afraid of being eaten by him. But it soon turns out that it is actually a very friendly creature – in contrast to its conspecifics, who turn out to be man-eating creatures. Sophie and the giant therefore forge a plan to fight the bad guys.

There is a real premiere for boxing legend Wladimir Klitschko, who appears for the first time ever as a candidate in a game show. The former heavyweight world champion competes in a very special "push-up-picture puzzle duel" against the barely seven year old Ray. Who has more power in their arms to win the duel?

8:15 p.m., VOX, 96 Hours – Taken 3, Action

After the family man and ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) had to rescue his daughter Kim and his ex-wife Leonore from the clutches of unscrupulous gangsters, he is now in the crosshairs of the police. When he finds Leonore murdered in her apartment, he becomes the main suspect for the police. Thanks to his skills as a former agent, he managed to escape shortly before his arrest. A dangerous game of cat and mouse begins between Mills and the persistent police inspector Franck Dotzler (Forest Whitaker). His only chance: He has to track down the masterminds of the murder and arrest the unscrupulous killers.

Meteorologist Bill (Bill Paxton) and his wife JoAnne (Helen Hunt) researched tornadoes together before they split up. Now he works as a "weatherman" on television and is waiting for a divorce.
